Q: What species of wood do you turn?

A: A wide variety of hard and soft woods, including: Red and White Oak, Pine, Hard and Soft Maple, Cherry, African and Honduran Mahogany, Walnut, Jatoba, Hickory, Ash, Poplar and Cedar. We do not turn any pressure treated material or Hemlock.

Q: How long will a custom order take?

A: Typically, 4 weeks, from purchase order/deposit and sample approval. Orders which do not have accurate drawings or samples may take longer.

Q: What are the Terms of Sale, if any?

A: Our terms are 2% -10, net 30 days, after credit approval. Prior to credit approval, all orders require a 50% deposit and are shipped C.O.D. where applicable or upon receipt of payment. All custom orders require a 50% deposit prior to commencement of the job.

Q: What do you need to produce the custom order?

A: A sample, full scale drawing or accurately scaled drawing with dimensions is preferred. Additional information such as species of wood and quantity required are needed.

Q: What is the minimum quantity required for a turning order? … Chair frame order? … Custom component order?

A: We do not have a minimum order requirement. Each order is made up of three components: material, machining and set up. Set-up is prorated over the number of pieces ordered, the more pieces per order the lower the set up charges per piece.

Q: Who pays for freight and brokerage?

A: The customer is responsible for all shipping costs, including brokerage where necessary. We do work with our customers to find the most advantageous rates possible for shipping.
